About Me

Hi, I'm Ollie. For my 8th grade Capstone project, Icreated a game to help kids learn about native Hawaiian plants and the unique ecosystems they grow in. I drew original artwork and worked with my Hawaiian Studies kumu to organize the plants by their place in the Kohala ahupua'a, from dryland to wet forest to coastal shrubland. Through this project, I learned how deeply connected these plants are to Hawaiian culture, and I hope these cards inspire others to appreciate and protect them too.
